It seems dump groups have trouble dumping the game Jet Impulse.

There are generally 3 types of reactions:
1. Oh noes! Will this also apply to [name of highly anticipated game]/all future games?
2. Will it be playable after being dumped?
3. Don't worry, it will be dumped eventually.

What do you think?

3.
People will eventually crack it and make a new dumper.  Although I dont know if will be playable or not =/

Supercard DS One nonSDHC-2GB-Black DS Lite

Rayder

I choose 3, with a concern for 2.
Current setup:
Onyx DSlite/R4DS/SCminiSD
2gig Transcend card for the SCminiSD
2gig Kingston for the R4DS
4 gigglingbytes of games/apps! WOOT!

Deadmon

I'll go with 3...any type of protection can be cracked nowadays.

PharaohsVizier

I'd go with 3.  It may take a while, but it will be dumped sooner or later.  It only took a couple of months to crack the Wii games, this one can't be that hard.

If the original cart can be read by a DS and run without any problems, its a matter of time that the data can be read and then dumped once again.

Look how much DS flash carts have changed over the past 6 months?

We've gone from SLOT 2 DS solutions to pure SLOT 1 solutions with almost 100% compatibility.

With that in mind, I cant see it staying that way for long. DS FLASHCART devs are very good, I'm sure they will have other equipment to hand to test and read these new carts and see if there is a pattern to the data being written/read off the cart.

Perseid

Does anyone know if this is deliberate copy protection or is it just a quirk with the dumper and the new cart chip?

sneef

I don't think anyone knows this.  it's just speculation.

My hunch is that it is just a consequence of the new chip

I think it will be dumped by the end of the week. I don't think it's some new copy protection, rather it's some incompatibility with the WRG/M3 dumper program.

Is there a way to dump roms to SC CF ?

with fwnitro. To lazy to give a link. Google it.

Sadly however  :(  this only works with supercard cf. There is no way to dump roms onto the supercard sd. Not to mention the fact I can't get the thing to work. (on my sccf) romman REALLY needs to make a rom dumper.
