well... 1) i would guess is that the chinese far outnumber us.... (in hackers and in population)
2) there is one for english for Jump Superstars
3) we're going to get ENGLISH games so its pretty pointless... (for most of them anyways)

Look for Japanese to Chinese its REALLY EASY. I'm chinese and its not hard to decipher most japanese characters already because Japanese is just a reworked Chinese.  Basically chinese v2.0.  It is going to be alot harder translating characters to letters.  The phrases will also be hard to rewrite since the way people say things in Japanese are different than the way we say them in English.  This applies to alot of languages out there.  And most games will come to America and the other ones you just have to suck it up and figure it out as you go.

I think it's a lot easier to translate NES/SNES titles compared to the more recent formats, which would explain some of the vast differences in IPS patch numbers.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Nintendo sold 10,180,000 DS and DSL in the Americas compared with 11,000,000 for the rest of the world(excluding Japan). So I think Chinese DS owners are far outnumbered by English speaking owners.

JSS is just one half completed translation, so my point still stands.

A significant minority of games translated into Chinese are not released in English, as shown in my list above.

Translating Japanese into Chinese is definitely not trivial. You may be able to get a rough idea from the kanji, but there is no way you can fully understand it.

Maybe you're not looking in the right places?

We've done two for the DS ourselves at DualScreenRadio.com.
