My setup:
SuperCard SD (latest firmware)
SuperKey
White Nintendo DS Lite
1GB SD Card, from SanDisk

My questions:
1. How come when I download the Opera Browser ROM and patch it using the SuperCard patching software, I get a white screen?
2. If there IS a working version, could I have a download link?

Thanks,
SuperGeek

you need to use a slot 1 card like the SCDS1, R4, M3 simply etc etc
as well as a slot 2 card with ram to use the browser
so you need a slot 1 card

plus never ask for roms or links to roms on the forum its against the rules http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8127

jmr (or anyone else)...you say that you need a slot 1 card to use the opera browser.  The SuperKey that was mentioned in his setup is a slot 1 card.  Will the browser work with the SuperKey and you just missed that point, or do you need some other slot 1 card that you mentioned?  Just asking because I have a SuperCard Lite and SuperKey on its way to me.  Just getting anxious.  Thanks.

Superkey is just a device to boot slot 2 devices.
What he was saying is that you need.
Slot 1 card ie Supercard DS, R4 or M3 simply. etc

A slot 2 device ie Supercard Lite, m3 or an official Nintendo Ram pack.
To use the onboard memory that Opera Browser needs to run on the DS.

There is no way for the Opera browser to run of a Slot 2 device the slot 2 device is only used for the memory that is included on them.

But you need a patched version of Opera to use the Slot 2 device as a memory card or if you want to use a clean rom you use the official pack.

Yes, but doesn't SuperKeys allow you to run *.nds roms from slot 2 carts?  In my head, it makes sense that you should be able to run a patched version from a slot 2 cart.  Sorry if I'm being difficult but it just doesn't make sense to me.  I guess I will find out for sure when I get my SuperKey and SuperCard Lite.  :)

The reason you need to have a slot-1 flash cart is because you need to launch the rom directly from slot-1.  It can then use slot-2 solely for RAM.  Theoretically, it might be possible to hack the rom to launch from a slot-2 card AND use its RAM (like how DSLinux works), but at the moment it's not possible.  It was easier for the rom hackers to just change it to "use this slot-2 RAM instead of the slot-2 RAM you're expecting" than to make the heavy modifications it would take to work from only a slot-2 device.
