Is there anyway to convert a R4 saved game into a DS-One playable save?

I have a friend that has a R4 and he has saved games on his cart.  is there anyway i can copy them convert them to the DS one format so I can play his saved games?


Also If I have patched rom for the SC lite,  is there anyway to get it back to clean so I can play it on the DS one.

thanks for replying to my question.  so just making sure when you say to cut off the junk in the end,  are you speaking of editing the .sav file,  with say notepad,  and just delete all the "ÿ"?   Well  I mean delete enough of the "ÿ" characters to make 256k right?  

Also just to  make sure the save games for the DS one and SC lite are compatible right?  just make sure the .nds file is the same name as the .sav file?

Opening a 512 kb file in a hex editor and trimming everything after hex location 40000 (decimal location 262144) should work.  I'm not sure what size the files you're working with have to be, so I apologize that I can't give a more specific answer.
