There has been a pre-release of Quake DS. I haven't tested it myself but here it is: http://quake.drunkencoders.com/

OOO cant wait to try it..

to bad they don't try using the extra ram that the SuperCard gives..

autobulb

Yeah it's a shame they didn't utilize the extra RAM on the SClite because according to their site Quake uses 10-12MB which is less than the available RAM on the lite, no?

It works anyway, on my SClite. The starting room works really fast, but when you enter an episode it slows down a bit. Also, the enemies are pinkish blobs as well as your weapons.

PharaohsVizier

Great, working on R4.

SCLight and Mini have about 32MB RAM I believe

[EDIT] Gah .. I re-read the site.. they were talking about DS-DS Deathmatch.. and there are so many without flash karts..
So to bring it down to 4 megs means you can go "who wants to play Quake?!"
But still single player should still alow for you to use the 32 MB ram iff you have it..

I think they made the right choice not to use the RAM.  As developers, you want to have as many people as possible to be able to access your game.  If you limit to those with 32mb of ram, you take away all the slot 1 cards, the rumble and the pro series for M3 and SC as well as many other carts.  By retaining 4mb of RAM, almost any cart can play it, especially with DLDI.

tried this on my M3 simply, works great! cant wait for lighting and wifi support :)
