SuperCard Lite

I posted this topic on the SuperCard forums, but nobody replied.

QuoteWhat happened to my SuperCard.lite? I had firmware 1.63, upgraded it to 1.70 (It worked with that), and tried to downgrade it back to 1.63, but when it finished upgrading from the UPGRADE.scu, the background was pink and there were random spots everywhere on my screen and I couldn't play any games! Please Help!

I have:
1x Nintendo DS lite (Flashed)
1x SuperCard.lite
1x SuperKey (Still have it, don't use it)
1 Kingston 1GB microSD (0646G97043U
SD-C01G Japan

O yes, and when I try to upgrade it back to firmware 1.70, both screens go white. I've tried to wat 5 seconds before clicking the BIN file liek the SuperCard Team said, but the screens remain white.

Please Reply!

start in gba mode. (hold the start button when booting).
Then run the 1.7 bin and you should be good to go.

Thanks for replying! What a contrast to the SuperCard forums! Now, how can I downgrade it back to v1.63 without doing this over again? anyone?

Hi

You have to downgrade to a version that's older than version 1.6 and then upgrade to version 6.3

Notice that 1.6 is a .scu file while version 1.7 is a .bin file. You see, some upgrade files are in the .bin format while others are .scu format. You must downgrade to a version that uses .bin

I'll try, but as far as I can see, there are no more firmware updates older than 1.63, but like I said, I'll try though

Why do you need to downgrade?  If it's for QPC saving, try rebooting in GBA mode instead of DS mode to use the Saver menu.

It's not for the saves. First, I want the pldest games first so I can alphabeticalize the files and second, I want to try SkinMe, which needs v1.63 (I know, I know, it says that it can not work with SuperCard Lite, but I want to try it anyways.  Tell me if it might bick my DS or anything like that plz.)

If you want to alphabatize your files, try using the Windows program called Fatsort or the DS program called MCTools.  Be warned though, as MCTools may corrupt some data by accident, so make sure the contents of your card are backed up beforehand.

I am using FATSort, but whne I alphabeticalize them, the Z's, Y's, X's, etc always end up first.

Then use the Inverse sort option to reverse it.

Like you said, I don't think it's possible for a Supercard Lite user to downgrade.  I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard.
