Is it normal for taking 30 minutes to transfer a 100 MB file to a 1GB kingston SD?

I had the same problem and it last for 6 month...ok, with that problem you'll also have a lot of game that will not work like Ouendan, Elite Beat Agent, Yoshi Island, etc...

Just send it back in exchange of a new one, explain the problem on internet to the company and they will send a new one to you! It's just a 5% probability problem but I'm sure it's that.

also make sure the device you are transferring the data with (card reader, etc.) supports USB 2.0, and is plugged into a USB 2.0 port.  even USB 1 should not take 30 mins, so I know that's probably not the issue, but it's worth a try, for the sake of troubleshooting.
