Well in reply to Hi,
I like the DSLink because of many things:
1.  The menu is very nice.  It can surf through games as fast as the Supercard, and looks as great as the best out there.
2.  The patcher, despite having a patcher, the patcher is great.  It patches extremely fast, it is very easy to use, and basically does all the basic features like restart.  One other thing is that the gold finger cheat system (CHT) is being developed for this cart, and it could possibly be out soon.  :)  Not to mention the frequent patches (on the Chinese forums).
3.  With a Kingston 1gb MicroSD (Japan) it runs everything great, and compatibility is back up to 100% with the newest rom.dat.
4.  You just have to give it a lot of credit being the first slot 1 cart with removable media.

If you want to use DSLinux on your DS I would recommend the use of s SLOT-2 card with extra RAM, like the Supercards or M3.  DLDI support does not and probably will not exist for DSLinux (due to the driver architecture) so for the time being it's the old favourites.

The fact that you can get a Supercard SD for 170HKD (about $20) makes it win hands down for me.

Quote from: "jmr"ive been doing some research to find out who owns what  card for this "debat"
so after troweling the interweb for tens of minute i come up with this list of celebrities who own flash cards
so after seeing who owns what cards im glad i got the Supercard DS (one)

AceKard   -   Ugly Betty, dawson's creek & Season 10 of Stargate SG1
DS-Xtreme   -   Michael Jackson, Gary Glitter & Pete Townshend
DS FireLink   -   i dont think anyone owns one of these
DSLink   -   Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson & Fred and Rose West
DS-Linker   -   Cletus The Slack-Jawed Yokel & Banjo Joe (Deliverance)
EZ-Flash V   -   Loch Ness Monster, Sasquatch & Godzilla
M3 DS Simply   - Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot  & papa doc
Ninjapass X9   -   N Sync, Take That & Westlife
R4 DS   -   Ann Nicole Smith & Victoria Beckham (posh spice)
Supercard DS (one)   -   Chuck Norris, David Hasselhoff & Jesus Christ

Nice research, i missed good old JC. If you like bumper stickers about jesus, remember this WWJD-well he'd do a SCDS1, of course. And you never want to Hassle the Hoff.

@Hi,
Quote from: "onekelly"If you listen closely to the trial, it was Howard K. Sterns (well he says so). I think it the R4 belonged to Larry Birkhead.
Quote from: "Hi"Err... what are you reffering to? it sounds interesting.

Where have you been living in the past couple of weeks. Here is a hint, replace R4 for baby...

I vote for SCminiSD.
Run....
-every homebrews. (I think better than SCLite)
-almost nds roms.
-can be use as opera ram

Same size as GBA card  (I have a DS Phat)

Only negative about SCminiSD is when you want to play GBA rom.

eh minisd is not better than the lite version.  Lite is wayyyyyyy fasterzzz but the best card now maybe the ez5 with the pack because it does everything then. O_o

Hi

sonicwind, as of now the ezv isn't a very well-established card. Can you comment on that? How can we be sure to trust that the team will continue updates?

Also, what would your opinion be on the best card if the supercard team were to realise an expansion pak as they have said they will.

What do you mean EZV isn't a very well established card?  The EZ Flash team has been in the game for the longest time, pretty much the same as Supercard if not longer.  They release updates constantly, even today they have updates for the EZ Flash 3 (the first 2 EZ Flashes already have 100% support for GBA and does not run NDS roms).  I think they are a quality team, I love their products, and I'm sure the EZV is excellent.  It is very misleading when so many people say that the EZ Team can't be trusted to release updates...

Hi are you still having problems distinguishing between EZ-flash and Neoflash?  because EZ is a very good company you just don't hear them as often.  Pretty much all you heard before was Supercard vs. M3 am i right?  On Gbatemp ez5 only got a lower score because it wasn't spring loaded or something like that.  But look at it now. Its a slot 1, drag and drop OR hybrid.  It can play almost all homebrew with the Dlpi patch like the other slot 1s with the above drag and drop+hybrid I think its 100% compatibility.  THEN you add the slot 2 and now you have access to the opera browser, gba(which is EZ-flash is known for), and rumble.  How is this NOT the best card out there now?

PharaohsVizier

Ummm EZV also runs all games full speed regardless of microsd.  If you have a slow microsd and want to play Castlevania: PoR, get an EZV and use the hybrid patcher, it will eliminate the freezes.

Question:  can homebrew that relies on slot-2 run on the EZ5?  Like SnezziDS for instance?
