anyways, i'm pretty stupid in the fact that i put my SCL black in one of my side pockets... while running or walking it probably fell out into the abyss.. -.- ... damn it... lost a SC Lite Black and a 512 Kingston microSD

anyways, among my remaining kits i still have a NoPass and a spare 512 Kingston microSD...

wondering if i should (probably in two months) get another Supercard Lite or M3 Simply (R4) or even possibly Supercard DS One....

trouble deciding.. bleh

----
i'm torn between choosing Slot 2 and Slot 1...

on one hand i have LIMITED GBA support from Supercard and some GBA apps.... and ram for DSLINUX (though i dont use it heh..) It also has patching issues in which it takes a coupla days, or weeks to fix....

one the other hand, i have R4 DS or Supercard 1, which can run the newer NDS roms without a hitch at all - no patching is required... but i'm also worried about the bootup at start... it automatically does it, and isnt selectable from the menu (i've seen the M3 Simply do this... :/) so, maybe in the future it wont be detectable and not function at all...

Hi

I love my scdsone. I'll admit it though, I don't own an R4. But I know that the r4 IS a new company and the supercard isn't, so they may be safer. The scds has absolutely fantastic capibility and a great interface.

The R4 is made by the same general company as M3 Simply (which also made the GBA Movie Player, GBAMP v2, and M3), so I'd hardly consider it to be a new company.

How important is GBA gaming to you anyway?  Is SNES or GBC emulation important?  Will the card be used mostly for homebrew or for official games?

liquidnitrogen

Hm, GBA gaming is probably not a big deal - :/ heh, i constantly get annoyed by the crappy support Supercard has for GBA games... (maybe i'll get a GBA cart solely for gba...)

Slot 2 has the ability to do somethings Slot 1 arent able to do as of yet... ReinMoon, although i dont really use it, the thought of ripping a save game off of a REAL NDS cart or burning a save onto it is really... cool. (i did it twice on Mario Kart, saving others hours to unlock the courses... heh :) )

SNES and GBC havent ripened... :( ... sigh...

Homebrews i use are the MCTools (though i doubt i'll need it if i get the R4... maybe use as ScanDisk) DSorganize (for backing up saves) and Moonshell (the performance IS the same right?). I also use CheckNDS to check defects...

Does the Slot 1 card take up the same or LESS energy than a Nopass + Slot 2? ... (mainly for Moonshell)

Also, how do I convert Supercard saves to R4 if i do eventually decide to buy an R4? Does the Supercard DS ONE use Raw saves like the other Supercards?

If you really want everything, why not try the EZV with the 3 in 1 expansion?

liquidnitrogen

hm, how much does that cost? heh - oh and how good is the EZV with NDS roms (loading times, and such) and the gba compatibility? hm... wait.. this is microSD adapter?

Liquid: GBC hasn't made too much on the DS homebrew seen, but Goomba color does an awesome job on the GBA side, hence a slot 2 card may still be very useful for that.

As for SNES, SNEmulDS is making great strides even for slot 1 cards (though some amount of slow down will always persist with larger roms). Biggest want I have for the emulator is being able to adjust layer priority <_< So close to being able to play Ganbare Goemon (Legend of the Mystical Ninja) perfectly with sound!
