Hi

34 happens to me ALL OF THE TIME. That's why I never start my homework until, like, 5 o clock.

Well, the people at this site are smart.

#40 When Windows decides that the update you let it do is so important that it has to remind you with a pop-up every 30 seconds to restart the computer?
#41 That after a few times it decides to add a timer so that if you don't click no, it automatically restarts?
#42 You then leave the computer for a minute or two, only to come back and find hours worth of work lost because it restarted itself without saving anything?

I can totally relate to that. It makes me very angry. Especially when, sometimes, you tell it to just restart and it's like "....What?".

#43 When you're trying to fix some code and have been debugging for hours wondering why none of your changes are happening before realising you havent been running the compiled version and so have been testing the same broken version over and over again....
(and that was my Friday at work!)

(or the file you are editing isnt the one being compiled....)

With regards to having lock files and being unable to rename or delete them. I have the same problem when trying to eject removable harddrives.
I use process explorer which is kinda like a beefed up task manager. You can use it to search for drives or filenames to see which handle is locking the file/drive.
(its also cool to check what songs people are listening to on your itunes.)

That's not really the best place to link to.  Sysinternals make some very good tools for windows, and they recently got taken up by Microsoft themselves.

See http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/ProcessExplorer.mspx for an 'official' link for Process Explorer

That'll be because MS got rid of the Blue Screen of Death, well, they didn't, they just made it so your PC will just reset instead of showing the BSOD.

First of all, you can set your computer to update while you are sleeping so you don't even notice your computer is updating.

Second, although I don't know how, there must be a way to turn off that auto-restart feature. I'm sure. try the microsoft website or ask someone who knows lots about computers. I'm sure there is a way to do it.

Third... #44 When people don't believe you even when you know your right. ("No, the nds CANNOT play movies. It just can't. It's a fact" and I can't prove it to him because I'm not allowed to bring my nds to school. Bad school rule.)

#45 When you run out of space on your hard drive.

#46 When you don't read the system requirements of a game before buying it because you are sure it will work and then take the game home and find out that your computer doesn't meant the system requirements to run the game.

#47 When DSlinux looks really cool but is too confusing to use.

#48 When you try to sell a GameCube and all of a sudden it stops playing backups so you have to resolder it then in the middle of the process you all of a sudden have a 70% average in Science because you have to name every part of the penis known to man and the teacher complains that maybe you're "Just not interested", plus you have one extremely hard project to work on in Social Studies that you just found out was due in a few days because your teacher never tells you anything, and while you're working on it you're expected to study for two tests at the same time which gets confusing because you get them mixed up then your math teacher decides to top it off with another project that you can just spend all spring break on because you "Have nothing better to do" and you get homework every night that you have to finish before you can even start anything else and your teachers tell you that they're just trying to prepare you for high school so it must be better to give you a few extra years of Hell and you're addicted to the internet so you can't get off forums like these and you want a new monitor REALLY bad but you only have $200 and it's $400 and you can't sell your GameCube because you have to solder it first but you have a friggin' 300000 watt iron and a millimeter thick string of soler that's too large for the GameCube and you end up stripping one wire so much that you can't fit the chip out from under the pot anymore so you need a new wire for that but you can't do anything about it anyway because you have two projects, two tests, and hours of homework to work on?
