FINALLY Got My Wiikey

I finally got my Wiikey in today after a MONTH had passed since I ordered it. Install was harder then a GC or XboX but was still easier then my PS2,lol. Points are SMALL and if your not even semi confident in your soldering skills I suggest not trying it and letting someone else with experience do it. I only had one "uh-oh" moment and that was when I was soldering points 3 or 5 and my 4 point poped off,lol. Soldered it all in, super glued over it and it works like a charm!

Wii orginals and copies booted just fine, also both copies and original GC games booted just fine.

Im a very happy man! Sorry for no install pics I was excited and in a hurry to get it in there and play some with it to test.

2nd batch is all accounted for also. He said he wont take any more orders till the 3rd batch comes in and then it wont be preorder he said it will just show as "in stock" on the site. Probably looking at about atleast 2 weeks before you find one.

Pre-ordered from modchipstore.com. The thing was supposed to ship on February 28, got delayed until today and I was guranteed to be in the "first batch". The site updates today and says I'll be in the "second half of the first batch" now. Ugh...

Glad to hear it works great though. Should be worth the wait.

dude, some shop in virra Mall (can't remember the name, the one on the corner next to the escalator) said that they're having a shipment come in. It'll come sometime this month. Sadly, they won't publicly sell the chip till they have pirated games up for sale. Eyo Sales may already have Wiininja's but they're overpricing ********.

Can't wait for a store to offer the chips here :p

Are you sure it's going to be Wiikey and not Wiinja? Kelan mo sila nakausap? I live next to that mall so I can go there even right now lol

Man I can't wait for my chip to come. I got to preorder before the cutoff point for the second shipment by foundmy. I also opened up my Wii and saw that 5 of the 6 required solder points are extremely small as Devs has estated.

Edit: Hey Devs does the Wiikey have an LED like the cyclowiz does to show if you installed correct?

I found it very easy to solder to the points but thats probably because I solder tiny LEDs alot. I also got mine for foundmy today. The modchip does not have any LEDs on it. I also got my component cables from them today and they are very nice. It produces a much better picture on my big screen.

How'd you repair your point? The wire I had on point 4 snagged on my watch and pulled it off

The Wii works fine, but I'm not sure if I can successfully install the Wiikey without it.

Trace the path from that pad to the DVD drive control chip and solder the wiikey directly to the leg of the chip.

I know I already told you but for the lurker bretheren out there in the ph a shop in gh has already ordered and are expecting the wiikey by this weekend :p. I just think he's going to sell it with installation for like 3500php (around 70usd

) since he's a overpricing chinese dude. It does come with a "warranty" however. if he breaks your wii you can take one of his :roll:
