When I load it, I put on the micro SD, the files in the "system v1.06" folder in the root of the micro SD.
these files/folders include _system_ (folder), moonshl (folder), _DS_MENU.dat, _DS_MSHL.nds, and ebook user manual .txt
when I turn on my DSL, it shows the usual warning screen, but then it will say "loading" then the bottom screen with have an error box saying "!!!" and the rest is in chinese, I cannot understand. my mother said something about "hardware not compatible"

Is there any way I can fix this?

What version is your R4 ?
From what you said it sounds like its a chinese one, so you should use the Chinese version of the software available on the chinese side of the official webby.
Check that and come back to us with some more informations
