Has anyone heard any other news about this card?

I didn't even know this card was in the works until today. And I've been waiting for G6 to make a slot 1 card. In my opinion, the G6 Lite was the best flash cart. It just sucked it only had 512mb of space. That was it's only downfall.

But, it looks like the G6 DS will come in 8G and 16G. Which I'm very glad it's still going to have internal memory, and come in that much of space. So you just know it's going to run every game, at full speed.

So anyways, anyone hear any other news about this? A possible release date?

The only real good thing i hear about G6 DS is instead of the slot 2 it has a slot 1 usb thing so you just plug your slot 1 into your computer therefore getting faster speeds or something like that.  The only other adavantage would be for play Castlevania POS but it will probably have worse homebrew compatibiltiy.

No sorry for the confusion, the information has been out a long time not the actual item  :lol:   But I can tell you its probably just gonna be a DSlinker clone with a cool slot 1 usb thing.

that's what i think.  affordable, and comes in 8Gb and 16Gb?  just a guess, but i think it's another dslinker item.

Well, hopefully it will be a little better than the DS-Linker. Not that it's a bad card, I just hope it has a better interface, and soft reset.

It would be nice if it had a menu style like the R4 or M3 Simply.

Somebody over at BlackCats, says that someone he knows, emailed the G6 team, and they replied saying that the production of the G6 DS will begin on the 28th of this month.

So maybe a week or two after that they'll be on sale? I don't know, I don't know if this is true or not. But I hope it is. I'm kind of hyped for the G6 DS, since I think the G6 is the best slot 2 card, I've really been wanting a slot 1 card by them.

Maybe I'll give them an email and see if get a reply with any details.

I had many flashcards, and all of them always has their own specific features... The only difference of G6 REAL is the "Download & Play" working perfectly and we all know that this feature doesn't work well on others slot1 flashcards. Maybe this G6 REAL will be the best slot1 flashcard, but I wonder about the price. The G6 4Gbit slot2 costs US$ 70,00. How much will be the price of this new one ? The DS-X will release their 16Gbit version soon about US$ 130. And we have the cheap option of N-Card=DS-Linker=ExpressCard=NeoMK5 16Gbit about US$ 60,00.

Holy crap! That thing looks beautiful. I've been waiting for the G6 team to make a slot 1 cart for quite a while now.

And the price, I really don't care about. I paid over $100 for my G6 Lite+Passcard 3. So I've already got my mind set that it will probably cost anywhere from $60-$100.

I don't really care what it costs. I just want it already.

I don't really agree with your price range.  Personally, I think this will set you back $150.  But that's just my speculation.

Depends what you mean.  The M3 / G6 products have always been super expensive.  If the G6 Lite was $100, I don't see why this can't be a little more expensive.  However, in terms of comparing it with other products, I still see the R4 + 1GB Kingston dominating the next generation market.
