I guess it's supposed to be some kind of port.  I ran it through the supercard patcher and it works.  I got kind of sidetracked so I didn't get a chance to play it through yet.  Looks good though.

Does this use Nintendo content or is it all original?

Hi

Sorry if this is ether a stupid question or offtopic but if the link above isn't a hot-link, well, what is?

It must not be a hardlink since the site co-founder doesn't mind but that doesn't make sense...

sorry, just trying to get that rule cleared up.

I don't have a problem with posts that contain links to unprotected directories.  Embedding hotlinked images in a post is a party foul however.

From what I can tell, it's a GBA remake of the original Super Mario Land for the Gameboy.

Hey folks - sorry if I did something wrong.  I thought I was just posting a port.  I didn't think it was against the rules.

Your thread is OK, I just wanna make sure that this is a true homebrew project and doesn't include any actual Nintendo property.  Unfortunately the site isn't in English so I can't tell for sure.

Technically, it contains copyrighted Mario sprites and all, but I'm assuming you meant you were making sure it wasn't a rom in disguise.

Are there any instructions on getting it to work? I tried patching with the homebrew patcher but it didn't recognize it as a patch-able file and just quit. Unpatched, it gives two white screens as NDS and one white screen as GBA.

All I did was patch it as a normal GBA.  Try using different settings.  If that don't work, try not patching it at all.

I don't think that's even worth trying. NO GBA game works without a patch, homebrew or not homebrew. I'm quite sure I'm right about this.

Tepples's "Multiboot Menu" program works without patching.  I use it to play Tetris Attack when I wish to use as little battery power as possible (as it loads entirely into the GBA's 256 kb of RAM, which consumes less power than reading from a cartridge).
