E-rated, fun, linar 3-D platform game for the N64?

Hi

Does anyone know if there are any linar platform games for the N64 that are

1. linar (can't say I like exploring too much)
2. Rated E for everyone (Not a huge fan of violence)
3. Has not been ported to the nds. (an example being rayman, although I don't really think rayman is a linar game)

Just trying to find some games to play with Project 64. I don't belong to any emulation forums and besides, I like these fourms better than any others I've seen or joined.

So far, I've found one game that matches the above, it being donald duck, quack attack. Are there any others.

I'm VERY picky when it comes to video games. Even with the nds, I only play and enjoy playing about 15 games. That's 15 out of the, what, 1,000 nds games out there. I mean, I know the market for games includes a lot of bad games but I think most people find more than 15 games that they like...

I've never played it before, but there was this one game called Rocket:  Robot on Wheels.  It got extensive coverage in one of my old Nintendo Power magazines, and it seems like a fairly fun platformer.

Hi

Thanks, I tried the game. The problem is it's far from linar, you have to explore a lot, which I don't like. Thanks though.

Conker's Bad Fur Day.
It's not violent, however it is rated 18.
It is the best N64 game I have EVER played EVER.

What about Space Station Silicon Valley? Most people have never heard of it but it was pretty fun. It's also E-rated like you wanted and its fairly linear. For more info check out the stellar review of it here: http://ign64.ign.com/articles/151/151946p1.html

Goemon's Great Adventure was pretty good too, and E-rated.

Sorry, but it's NOT happening. I've never touched a game rated above E10+ and don't plan to until I get a bit older. Your not the first person to try to get me to play higher rated games. Keep in mind that what's not violent to you is violent to me. For example, though one might say mario isn't violent, do you not kill goombas? I play Mario, yes, and play games more violent than mario, but do I not have a point.

Now, sinkhead, can you honestly tell me that Conker's Bad Fur Day isn't violent? If your answer is yes, than why was it rated 18? Answer both those questions and I MIGHT consider the game. I'm not trying to be mean or anything...

p.s. 18 means T or M?

p.p.s I'm in the prosess of downoading the space station game as I type 754boy.

p.p.p.s I don't consider Mario violent, I just mentioned it to prove my point.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is so funny, teddy bears getting blown apart with rockets.  I love the part where they shoot immigrants crossing the border.  LOL

Hi, why are you so paranoid about violence or not being the right age to play a work of imagination, a video game? You're limiting yourself from lots of great games because.... because?
Setup: Onyx DS Lite, CycloDS + Kingston 8GB MicroSDHC; Camo GBA Micro, EZIV + Kingston 2GB MicroSD

Donkey Kong 64 is an excellent N64 platformer. There's also Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. Which are some of my all time favorite platformers. Can't wait wait for the third one to come out for the 360.

BUT BEWARE: you do squash some crabs, and hit birds, and that kind of stuff. But there's no blood or anything like that. Banjo is just a really fun series. I highly recommend all three games I mentioned.

And Conkers M Rating is probably most due to the language. But there is violence in it too. But it's a game that shouldn't be missed. When you get older, definitely play it.
Setup:

Slot 2: G6 Lite
PSP: 3.40 OE-A

Super Mario 64 is a little obvious.

What about Yoshi's Story? I recall that was actually more like 2.5D if anything.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

I wasn't trying to get you to play it I just thought I'd mention it because you asked for good games. That's all. It is, after all, such an amazingly awesome game.

Sorry for any offense caused

Which is fine. If a game is rated E, I just assume it's not to violent to play. If it's E10+, I look at the game a little, and usually play it. I have not yet felt the need to turn down an E10+ game because of violence.

Okay, these are all great suggestions, but they all envolve a lot of exploring, which I don't like to much. That's what I meant by linar, you don't have to explore and/or find things to much

Space Station Silicon Valley is a bit to dark for my taste.

Super Mario 64 isn't exactly linar, though it's easy enouph to find things that I enjoy it. However, super Mario 64 has been ported to the nds.

sinkhead, you didn't offend me at all. There was a misunderstanding, but you didn't offend me in the least bit.

Speaking of offence, don't take offence that I'm rejecting all your video games. I'm extreamly picky when it comes to video games, probably a big reason I became a pirate. Before I was a pirate, I can't tell you how much money I lost buying games and than selling them back to the game store at half the price.

Any other games that I should consider/try, or have I just rejected my self out of finding an N64 game for me.

You might be in a bit of trouble on the N64. That was the start of the whole non-linear, wander-where-you-please concept with Mario 64 and the like. If you're looking for an equivalent to, say, Crash Bandicoot, I've never seen one for the 64.

h8uthemost

^ Yeah, that's true. That was the era that pretty much started the wander-everywhere type of play.

But did you try Banjo Kazooie, Hi? It's not as open ended as you may think. I mean, the worlds aren't overly huge or anything. They are kind of big though, just not gigantic.

And it is kind of like Mario 64, where you go item hunting.

I don't know, that's about all I can think.

Hi

Yes, I tried the banjo thing. The graphics impressed me, but the gameplay didn't- and honestly, in the end that's what counts. If you want something that looks nice, read a picture book. The pictures in the book have great graphics don't they?

Perseid, you may be right. But then, as I said in the beginning of this thread, I've already found one game I like - donald duck quack attack.

Know, donald duck quack attack is hardly a well known game. I don't think it even got realised outside of euope...
So, might there be other not well known games that are what I want?
This would actually make sense, as I often enjoy games many people think are bad. On the nds an example is pacn'roll. On the pc an example is a game I bet none of you have ever heard of- M&M's The Lost Formulas.

M&M's The Lost Formulas IS MY ALL TIME FAVORATE GAME - even though it's very kiddish. And guess what, it's a platform game that is rated E, has not been ported to the nds (well duh) and is LINAR. There is no exploring at all.

I know this is going off topic now but I've always thought of the above game as a true 3-d mario game. the official 3-d mario games aren't linar like the orginal ones are. M&M'sTLF (The Lost Formulas) is just as linar as the orginal mario, just with another demension.

Back on topic, Pretend I never mentioned M&M's TLF (sorry, I got sidetracked) and tell me, if one game exsists (Donald Duck Quack Attack) Than more probably do to. The question is will I be able to find it/will someone here know of one.

And the answer to that question is, drumroll please: Maybe! I don't know. But I bet the n64 houses another game somewhere in it's library.

p.s. I had to use a guide on the internet to beat mario 64. I'm terrible at exploring.
