Ok I have the moonshell dldi. I also have the new supercard patcher.

How do i make a save file for like a .sms .nes or .gb .gbc do i just put

name.sms.sav...Change the name of some other save file to fit it. Or do i

run  those other files through the Supercard patcher. And for homebrew

files i patched them with dldi and which ones do i convert ones that have

to use internet or all of them. Also do i run the hombrew through the

Supercard patcher along with the dldi? And how does the Restart and

save method work a link will work if u dont want to explain this in full im

just confused.

Thanks for any and all help,
Willy T.

The official Supercard patcher is for DS roms only.
size=8]DS3, FM7, SCmSD1.80/2.60, WRT54GL with Tomato Firmware[/size]

I thought it was for gba roms as well so you could  save n stuff.

If you goto C: program files and then to the supercard folder you will find some .sav files in there for use with nes roms, not sure about others though.
just make copies of the files and then name them accordingly.

The SuperCard software is to patch NDS and GBA games only.  No other games need to be patched.

For NES games to work, copy the "NesFileName.sav" file from your SuperCard software's install directory and rename it according to the ROM you want it to work with (for example, if you are putting Tetris.nes on your card, you need to have a save file named Tetris.sav).  That simple; no patching needed.  However, this step cannot be skipped or else the game won't save.

For GB or GBC games to work, copy the "save.sav" file from your SuperCard software's install directory and rename it according to the ROM you want it to work with (for example, if you are putting Tetris.gb on your card, you need to have a save file named Tetris.sav; if you are putting TetrisDX.gbc on your card, you need to have a save file named TetrisDX.sav).  The "save.sav" file works for GB and GBC games; there's no difference.  Again, be sure not to skip this step or the game won't save.

SMS games don't need a save file to work.

That is correct.  SMS games save without a save file as far as I know; I believe it creates the save file.  However, DS, GBA, GBC, GB, and NES games all need save file to save correctly.
