Brand New DSLite, Supercard CF Problems

I just bought a second ds, a dslite, and can't seem to load games--on the first try.

I did flash my ds succesfully, and put fwnitro on it recently too in my quest to get the dslite working properly with commercial games.

Does anyone know why it works perfectly on my ds phat, and only loads homebrew easily on my dslite?

I can play most of my games, but it can take 5-10 trys, or more. Final Fantasy has yet to load though.

Sorry if I'm mumbling but I'm trying to finish up quick.

Did you try updating the firmware of your Supercard CF?

THe firmware is already the latest version, although I did downgrade, test, and also upgrade again, same result regaurdless.

EDIT
I took it back to walmart and got a different one as I noticed one of the prongs in the gba cart seemed odd. Unfortunately it still has the same results, this time with official firmware and a action replay for booting.

Also dslinux seems to not work either which leads me to the idea mabey it's the ram inside the supercard?

DS lites seem to generate some compatibility problems with some CF cards. You`re not the 1st to have a  SC-CF + CF card combo that works on phat but not lite. Kingston Elite Pro 1gb works on my dslite + sc-cf.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to just keep clicking until they load... until I get a slot 1 device....

another difference I seem to get is my official ds phat rumble pack will work with my official metroid pinball cart in my dslite but not any homebrew examples for rumble, where the ds phat will.

I bought a new 512mb lexar cf 80x speed thinking it might help. It's got the same results.

Personally, I would have hunted out a make and type of card that I *knew* worked on the SuperCard CF with DS Lite (i.e. from seeing what other people on here have), otherwise it's potentially just shooting in the dark.  :(  If you have the same card as another person, then you _know_ that it is either the DS Lite or the SuperCard.

(For reference, the Kingston Elite Pro 1GB I have works on two different SuperCard CFs on both a GBA and also a DS Lite - whereas the two Crucial cards I had before worked on the GBA but not the DSLite (interestingly, the 256Mb Crucial card worked with DS Lite with commercial software, but not homebrew, whereas the 512Mb Crucial card worked with homebrew but not commercial, talk about complicated!)

The DS Lite + SuperCard CF + Kingston Elite Pro 1GB combination works just perfectly -- even Castlevania Potrait of the Dark just plain worked, on DMA mode as well, with no slow-downs or crashes, from day one.
