hello

i recently bricked my friends ds while trying to install flashme in it and we want to recover it by using the bios swap technique

both are phat ds with fw version 2

so i want to know instead of desoldering the bios from my working ds and put it in the bricked one
is it possible to just solder wires directly from the workign bios to the non working one?i mean connecting wires from one bios to other without actually removing them??

Did you try the ABSTARTSELECT recovery mode first?

you cannot bios swap on a ds phat, period.

instead, put flashme as the only file on the supercard, then hold abxy on startup, then press A a couple of times, see if flashme appears

if all else fails i think there is a parralel port flashing technique of some sorts
