I have been browsing around. I need a MicroSD card for both my DS and my cellphone.

I found some 60X MicroSD's on newegg for like 35 shipped.

OCZ Trifecta 2GB 66x - $53
Patriot 2GB MicroSD 60x - $29

Is that fast enough, or is there anything faster?

The fastest ones are the cheap Toshiba ones marked with "SD-C01G JAPAN". Well, they run Castlevania Portrait of Ruin (one of the 'benchmark' games)
It will definatly be fast enough for a flashcart BUT if it has that serial number and it's made in TAIWAN not JAPAN you're in trouble. The Taiwanese ones are inferior and are much slower and you will have problems with some games.

it's not just about the "card speed" random read and access times are also critical.

All cards marked SD-C01G JAPAN should be able to play it (Kingston's cards, but some other brands resell their cards, like for example Toshiba, and some no-namers)
Just make sure you don't get one marked SD-C01G TAIWAN
I have 2 Kingston 1GB's marked SD-C01G JAPAN, and they work perfectly. I had to turn off Enable Patch for PoR/DoS/AC:WW to work properly though.

Any Kingston MicroSD will do just great.  What ever other ppl tell you.
