There is a new PSP modchip coming soon . . .
http://psp-devolution.com/

- Flash your PSP using the internal USB Port
- No additional USB Port required
- Latest ACTEL ProASIC 3 technology
- Low power consumption
- Works on all available PSP versions including TA-082 and TA-086
- Custom BIOS with a lot of cool additional features
- Easy to install
- Just a bit of soldering skills required, no hardcore installation

This new modchip looks less expensive and easier to install than the U.P. (Undiluted Platinum) PSP ModChip solution that surfaced last year. This modchip should come in handy . . .

 for un-bricking PSPs
 for downgrading PSPs running BIOS firmware greater than 3.03
 as a tool for PSP developers wanting to modify BIOS

NOTE: Most PSP users will not need a modchip because most PSPs can be downgrade/upgraded without hardware modifications.

Gasp! There is still hope for my Limited Edition Metal Gear PSP with 3.30 FW!!! :)

Finally, I gotta tell my friend cause he want's to downgrade!

Oh and on the bottom of the page it says:

PSP-DEVOLUTION IS NOT A MODCHIP. IT IS A PRETTY SOPHISTICATED USB-JTAG PROGRAMMER FOR A LOT OF NAND FLASH ICs. FROM OR POINT OF VIEW IT DOES NOT HARM ANY COPYRIGHT LAWS.

Yeah, technically it isn't a MODCHIP because it doesn't really modify the behavior of PSP.  It allows the firmware to be downgraded through the JTAG serial interface.

Is this available now? Which shop has it in stock?
