Is there a built in cheat device for the M3? Is so how can I access it?

If there isn't, is there a homebrew to use cheats?

Im talking along the lines of action replay or something like that.

DeVS

There is one built into the newest firmware of the M3 Simply. Once you upgrade your firmware you will see a "cheat" button when u select a game.

What kind of cheating device is it? Gameshark or Action Replay?

Also, where can I find the codes?

Will this work with the pokemon games?

I want to keep my Diamond file clean (no hacks) and hack up my Pearl.

DeVS

It has it's own built in system. There are no codes to put in. If the game has a cheat, it will show the "cheat" button and then allow you to choose from a list of cheats for that game.

New link on the m3 download page called "M3 simply V1.01 Cheat Code database" , links to a file called "cheat_file_editor.rar" or some such. No luck downloading it myself yet tho.
This thread is the first i heard  about the cheat system. Nice addition. These m3/r4 are the bees knees

I haven't really paid attention to the cheats all that much, but here's a list of the ones I've seen:

Quick EXP- (you hit R just when you get the message saying the opposing Pokemon has fainted, and you get 1280 exp.)

Max Cash- (hit L+R)

1 Hit Kills

And then I think you can max out your Items bag, Rec bag, Ball bag, and TM bag.

That's about it. All those were for Diamond, but I'm almost positive the cheats are the same for Pearl.

Oh, and these are all from the AC cheat function on my R4. But it's probably all the same on the Simply too.

And yeah, you are right on that. I actually wasn't all that impressed with my R4 all that much, for the first couple months or so that I had it. But now, I'm starting to see how great of a cart it actually is. Especially when you get a fast microsd for it.
