I'm having a strange problem with my supercard sd, its worked find with every other game but it seems to be freezing at random points while playing pokemon diamond. I have the latest firmware and converting software for the supercard sd. Also strangely, sometimes after my ds has been off for awhile and i turn it back on suddenly my supercard tells me that there is not an sd in the insertion slot. I'm not sure if its my sd card, or my supercard, or perhaps just the copy Of diamond. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. I've also already tried defragmenting and checking my card for errors.

Perhaps these new Pokemon games freeze on slower cards like PoR does.  I know that with PoR you could fix it by removing all the sound, but I wonder if it will work here as well.  Just to try it, load up the rom with DSLazy and have it extract the contents of the .nds file.  In the new folder that is created, delete the sound_data.sdat file, create a new file with the same name that is zero bytes (use Notepad or just a hex editor or something), and use DSLazy to repackage everything up.  Try it and see if it freezes.

I have a card that refuses out and out to run PoR, and I've just tried this on my "el-cheapo" miniSD card and it runs fine. I've seen a few problems with some dodgy dumps or use of the older SC patching software.

Dosn't that assume that Pokemon is wirtten in the same way as PoR?
n cases of major discrepancy, it is always reality that's got it wrong. -- RFC1118

It was just an idea.  I really have no idea if that will work or not, but I know that most games I've extracted with DSLazy have some file named "sound_data.sdat" or something similar.

I also have a Supercard SD, and it works perfectly. I've just beaten the first gym. Using a japanese Kingston 2GB SD.

It's working fine for me, even using my fake (and slow) Kingston mini SD.
