Yeh my SD card speed was set at 30X and 30 is the reccomended by the autoset feature.

Castlevania portrait of ruin runs smoothly for me even its video does.

dantheman: thats recisly what i am getting laggy gameplay on diamond. it makes the gba pokemon games look better. Maybe im setting my standards high. perhaps its supposed to look like its rendering like that. because castlevania runs smoothly. Castlevania is known to be a very strenous game when it comes to SD speed. So shouldnt Pokemon diamond run smoothly too?

Diamond and Pearl are the first Pokemon games I've really been following at all since the original Red/Blue, so can you tell me if the GBA ones used 3D graphics like this?  I'm guessing they weren't, as that would slow things down tremendously on the relatively weak GBA (only 16 MHz to work with and all), so I think D/P are the first handheld Pokemon games to use 3D graphics for the overworld.  Perhaps this is just a tradeoff of the DS's 3D hardware.  I'm not too familiar with it really, and I probably got something wrong here, but it's an idea at least.

Do you notice any lagging issues when the 3D hardware isn't being used?  Like in battles and such?

The 3D world was introduced in DS =p

well its notacible it looks like it is being rendered. when i walk around peoples position start to jump a little and they leave a trial so it looks abit like double vision.

anyone else experianced this?
