kenfrenzy

Which flashcart? What memory brand? What version firmware?

masterX

supercard Slot-1

sandisk micro sd 1GB

Latest OS

754boy

Sounds like the Sandisk might be the problem.

masterX

so what microsd card do you reccomend i get then?

kenfrenzy

Did you update using the 2.0 firmware from today?

Sandisk microsd cards have been found to be kinda slow, your best bet would be a japanese made microsd (toshiba, kingston made in japan, pqi i think)

Im still getting the same problem even after i brought this new toshiba 1GB.

It is a SD-C01G JAPAN. Please help i want diamond to run perfectly. because when i move around it looks like the terrain is being rendered very slowly it looks weird.

jmr

try formating FAT with 64k clusters it helped me when i had my crappy Transcend card

I just tried formatting it didnt change much.

I have a new toshiba (SD-CO1G) and all that fixed is castlevania is now playable. However diamond is still the same.

I think theres something wrong with my DS Lite because it blurs a little when i run around in games. Even GBA games. I thought maybe this was because of the refined pixels but maybe this is not normal.

Motion blur is a normal side effect of LCD screens, and some may be more susceptible to it than others.  Have you tried running it on a friend's DS?  Running the official game cartridge on your DS?  On a friend's DS?  Until you isolate what the issue is, we can only guess on the solution.

For what it's worth, it appears to be lagging slightly on my Supercard miniSD like you described, but it could just be the way the game runs normally.  It doesn't bother me too much, so I can live with it.

jmr

clutching at strews here but have you set your new card to 30x in the speed settings??

masterX

yes jmr this is another query i would like answered. how should i set the speed of my SC in the OS. choosing 4X speed it just returns to 3 as the default.

So do you reccomend i choose OS SD Speed-->other-->30

Dudu.exe

Im Using a japanese kingstone.. and it works amazing!

try to play the castlevania video.. if it get choppy then pretty sure your card is very slow!

kenfrenzy

Make sure you're using the right speed for your card. Use the autoset feature to find out what speed your card should be at (probably 30 if you're using a jap card)
