just got DS doom and it is great. is there any chance that local wireless multiplayer will ever be possible?

also, are there any homebrew games out at the moment that have loca multiplayer options?

DS Doom has local multiplayer, but your computer acts as a server.

Nobody has figured out the ad-hoc DS-to-DS protocol yet, so while in the future it may be possible, right now it's improbable.
