why would you need the cd? you would probably be using outdated firmware and its drag and drop.......

Altor

I can second that, I bought an R4 for my sister off a guy on this forum... the CD is worthless.  And CARRYING STRAP?  Are you mental?  Find a real use for that, seriously.  The stra..... you know I just can't be bothered.  It's a pointless, unforgivable waste of valuable plastic.

I don't see anything wrong with the case. It's not like I carry it around with me or anything like that, but it's a nice little holder for a couple of my flash carts.

I would've rather the R4 came with it, then not came with it.
Setup:
White Lite
Slot 1: CycloDSx2GB Kingston Japan, Supercard DSOne+1GB Nokia(J), 16G G6 DS Real, 16G DS-Linker, R4x1GB Kingston(J),
Slot 2: G6 Lite
PSP: 3.40 OE-A

SCDS1 is by far the best solution IMO, especially if you already own a slot 2 Supercard. When it comes to support and features the Supercard team can't be beat. SCDS1 does everything the R4/M3 does and more. The complaining about having to set the save size is retarded. You only have to set it once and you can always choose the largest save size when in doubt (like R4 does by default). If you are the kind of person that needs help turning on a computer then maybe R4, or even DS-linker would be a better choice.

Well I have 1 last question. What is the FASTEST data transfer and speed wise" card?(run Portrait of Ruina and run games fast) (MicroSD) because they all look the same (but probably different speeds) I'm almost DAYS away from purchasing my R4 and ditching my Supercard SD!

Basically you want anything made in Japan. I have a 1GB Kingston Japan and 1GB Nokia Japan, and both play Portrait of Ruin without any problems.

So get yourself a Japan made microsd, and you won't have any problems. Or you could just get yourself an internal memory flash cart, and you won't have to worry about finding that certain type of fast microsd.

Internal Memory? humm....What flashcards have internal memory?..because i'm on a TIGHT budget. and it would be nice not having to spend money more a microSD card :)

N-card, DS Linker, DSFire card, NEO MK5
they are all the same, too.

best two gigabyte deal you will find
360 iXtreme 1.5 E74
Supercard DS One nonSDHC-2GB-Black DS Lite

Yep, that is an excellent price. Hopebuy has the 16G DS-Linker for $59. But the N-Card is the same, so I would go with that deal. You can't beat that for a big 2GB's of space.

Oh...and don't forget the DS-X and G6 DS Real are internal memory carts too. If you really are going to get an internal memory cart, I would spend the extra twenty bucks and get the G6 DS Real. It has more features than the N-Card.

MicroSD storage can't be taken out of the argument entirely IMHO.  It's incredibly useful to have one card for games and one card for Moonshell videos.  And the one for Moonshell can be of any quality, even Taiwan-Made Kingston or standard Sandisk would almost certainly work perfect.

Couldn't agree more - worth having one for homebrew incase you corrupt the card.

Hi

Quote from: "kkan"
Quote from: "dantheman"It does that "automatic" save setting by simply using the maximum size for each game.  It's easier but uses up more space.  Then again, space is fairly cheap, so it's not too big of a deal.  Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages.

But :) must :D you :o use :p a :x smiley ;) after  every :) sentence :? you  write?

sorry bad habit :(  ... oh sh.... just did it again   oh god da..... never mind!
