I am using a passcard (slot 1) with my supercard lite. Should i hack the firmware on my ds lite to play without the passcard??
Also does using the passcard damage the ds in any way while using it?

A passcard does not damage or modify your DS in any way.

Yes, there are some advantages to flashing your DS . . .

1) You won't need a passcard anymore
2) You can transfer save files to a real game
3) You can keep your favorite game in slot 1
4) You will be protected from possible DS homebrew malware
5) You don't have to click on the health warning

(You can always unflash your DS using noflashme. Not recommended.)

you can still transfer save files to a real game, just take out the passcard after the slot 2 boots (i do that with my friends since i have an SCone; i boot into slot 2, take out the sc one and then let them use the sc one so we can all play.
