BlackDStoUS!

Just like to say this website rocks, and I've been reading the forums for a while. I plan on buying a SCLite and a Sandisk 1GB Ultra II in about a day. I am going to run strictly homebrew on it, just so you know. Please answer as many Q's as possible. Thanks! 8)

1.Has the DSOrganize "saving issue" been fixed for SCL?
2.Is Moonshell and Davr's Draw working on SCL?
3.Where does everybody get their virus/bricker-free DS homebrew games/apps? I don't know where to go. Help! (dev-scene.com, gbadev.org?)
4.Do I need to buy a screen protector for the bottom screen? (I really, really don't like scratches  )

Apparently a lot of GBA/DS homebrew is compatible with SC SD/miniSD. If a program works on the SC SD/miniSD, will it usually work on the SCL? Will file extensions like .gba, .rom.gba, .ds.gba, .nds, .ds, etc. run on the SCLite? (I want to run those HB GBA games, who could blame me?)

If very little GBA/DS homebrew runs on SCL, it's a waste of money for me. Will new firmware make it compatible with more homebrew as time goes on? Or does anybody recommend SC SD/miniSD for homebrew? (I really want the smaller card, tho.)

Thanks so much for your time and effort! You guys rock!

Since I no longer have the SCLite, I can't answer the first two..but..

To answer #3: Get them directly from the developer's home page if possible. This is the SAFEST way to get the homebrew. If you can run DSOrganize and download from within it, that is safe as well. Finally, an extra good measure would be to flashme the DS.

#4: I personally do not use screen protectors. I am very careful, and have no a scratch yet. I did use some Boxwave protectors long ago (great product BTW) but some problems with the touchscreen sensitivity of course occured. It was so annoying that I removed them. I just have a "beat-em-up" unit, and one mint in the box now. I realize not everybody has the cash to do that, so you may want to go the screen protector route. Check www.boxwave.com . Expensive, but some of the best.

Yeah, the Boxwave is a little too expensive for me.

To anyone who owns a SCL, how well does your GBA/DS homebrew run? Are you satisfied, or are you running into compatability problems?

I'm generally happy with homebrew on my SCLite.
DSOrganize works fine and saves.
Davrs Draw works but does not save.
DSDoom works/saves.
DSLiveWeather works/does not save.
Moonshell works.
wolf3d works/save not implemented yet

I would suggest picking up a set of Hori screen protectors. You can get them at places like decalgirl.com, I think its about $6.50+ shipping, something like that

supercardlite is just a fit upgrade to the scmini with a speed upgrade so they should havea bout the same homebrew compatibility.  And for the screen protectors the screen doesn't really scratch since its made to be TOUCHED. But little marks come up from using the stylus so i guess you should.  But thats just me.
