Just finished modding DS - left speaker crackles

I just finished converting my DS to a SHOCK case, a combination of two actually.  I got stuck about a year ago and finally had the time to finish the process just today.  What a project!  I've never done anything like this before and it was very difficult but I was very careful.  I know a little bit about electronics so I probably avoided a couple of stupid things I might've done otherwise.

It appears everything is functioning perfectly, the only thing I haven't tested yet is the mic.  There's one exception: the left speaker only makes static.  The speaker itself is intact, it wasn't punctured or anything, I was very careful.  I noticed that when I shake the DS a little, it seems to make static then as well.  The top screen works perfect, as does the right speaker, so it seems like a crazy coincidence to think that I managed to damage just one connection somewhere.

Does anyone have some advice about what might be wrong, how it could be fixed, etc?

Have you tested the said speaker on different games?
DS Lite Onyx Black
Supercard Lite
Nintendo Wii (US)
PSP (Metal Gear PO Limited Edition)

i havent seen the internals of a lite, but at a guess, you need to tighten the screw to the board that connects to the speaker, or perhaps clean the contacts

ive opened up a few ds's and its never happened to me.
Although i had a friend who dropped his ds and ended up with a crackling speaker.

If its not too risky i would take a look again at the speaker wiring to make sure it wasnt squished by the plastic anywhere or the cable isnt damaged. Otherwise im not quite sure what the problem is.

How did my friend solve his problem? the crackling was pretty bad so i just opened it for him and cut the wires for one of the speakers. problem solved lol.

I fixed this a while back... I got a fine flat screwdriver pushed the wire further back once it was already mostly-closed.  It seems it was just getting squeezed or something.  Works great now.
