Despite the fact I have Chinese language installed on my system and despite the fact I have mailed some of the Chinese cheat/txts to my friends on all our systems the text shows up as garbled mess..  now ive followed this thread to the letter but am at a loss as to what i am doing wrong.. I cannot translate the parts of the files i need to ,when the language is an unrecognised mess.. any help?

Instead of using cheat.dat for converting, use usrcheat.dat file

I have been using this one for the dat2scc convertion, and all the files work for me, with all the roms.

Hm, well I used the cheat.dat, but I decrypted it first (since R4 encrypts its cheats for some obnoxious reason) and it seemed to work ok.  The 'actual' usrcheat.dat seems to do the same thing.  I'm probably just going to give up on it.  Cheats aren't really as important to me as that, to keep getting frustrated by it like this. 

And no, not using the TopToy menu.  It's a little bit faster than the Supercard's menu, but that's about all it has going for it IMHO.

Great, another good news for all of us. (BTW I think the update stamp for cheats should be 26/12 instead of 26/11/2008    )

So if you've got a little time, I found a small bug in ndsinfo.dat (in fact my daughters found it, as they received their NDS for Christmass...)
There's a little mix in recognition for 7 games in the ndsinfo.dat. Probably due to a removal or an offset on the first one.
It's easy to correct by scanning again roms 3059 to 3065.
Here is a summary of the bug:

jmr, apparantly the cheat codes is having some problem with me (and some of my friends too).

the problem is the Cheat does work with some new released games such as Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon but it doesn't on some other older games (in this case is MKDS, Bomberman, Pokemon series).... does anyone having the same problem?

don't know what to do though, but I think you should know about it

ok Jmr, thanks for you though. Maybe I should redownload all the cheat codes once more and see if it's worked

btw just to make things clear, my problem is the cheat won't work *(the cheat menu does shows up). things like Unlock All Cars and Characters on MKDS doesn't do what it says

Okay i really need help please my coverter will not work the txt to cht does apparently but the cht to scc will not all it does is open and i ask to make a cheat pick the file and it remains frozen please help me i am clueless      i really dont want to by the real game and the action replay so please help yes i am begging something i never do the cht2 cheats will end and say C++exception what does it mean

This happened to me before. Are you sure you unzipped that HK10 file into the folder too? I think is called hk10, cant remember but anyway that why mine wasn't working. Maybe you could try the same

Hello everyone.
I got a problem with [3110] Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon (EUR).

First: the game is lagging like hell sometimes.
Second: I downloaded the cheat-bundle (eng) but I can't activate them, because the cheatmenu don't come up.
