Hi people...
This is my first post and I think I have a big mistake here or else I would have posted with something else first.
Ok, when power switch is activated, no lights comes on.
When plugged, orange light comes on.
What I did:
-replaced the battery
-checked the fuses
-replaced the power switch

That's where I am right now, does anybody know what I could do next? Thanks in advance

Or where can I find the info to repair it?

What type of ds is it (phat, or dslite)? Did you flash the firmware? How old is it? Have you opened it up?

It's a lite, I did open it, I swaped the wi-fi board and battery and made a visual check but did not see anything.
Could this be a programming problem? How do I fix a software problem?

Charlee1978 you forgot to answer one important question above.

If you started having problems with your DS after trying to flash the firmware with flashme then it very well could be a "software" problem.  In most cases a bad flashme install can be recovered using the flashme recovery procedure.  If flashme recovery doesn't work then there is the BIOS hot swap trick. The BIOS hot swap trick can fix any kind of firmware/software problem.

If you didn't install flashme then there is probably something physically wrong with your DS.  Check all the ribbon connectors and also check fuses F1 and F2.

Hi, and thanks again for helping me. It may have been flahed before me but I don't know, I bought it from ebay. Seller said it was a bad switch, he refunded me a part of the money and now I am trying to figure this thing out.

Where is the best place to find the information on that flashme thing. I have never done this before and feel's like a complete noob. The only software for Ds that I know how to play with is the one that goes on the memory stick for the R4DS card...

ok, so if I understand this right, I can download noflashme, put it on my R4DS card in my slot 1, hold start+select while powering up and noflashme will install by itself?

Hi all, I did try to noflshme and other than the green light that flickers nothing has appened. Is this normal? Do I need to install something alse to make it work?

Because I don't know the full history of your DS lite (eBay) it's hard to know for sure what's wrong. Perhaps the problem with your DS lite isn't related to flashme. Have you checked the fuses and ribbon connectors?
