Hey Robotochan,

Glad to hear my post helped out!
So... do tell.. what was the problem with the beta flash?

I'm still on version 6.. i'm an IT, so a pretty strong believer in the, "if it's not broke, don't fix it" way of looking at things!

I guess, admittedly, when they move out of the beta version I'll re-flash, but until then, i'll just happily keep playing Age of Empires!

strange.  I'm using the beta flashme lite, and haven't found any problems yet.  except that if you play in DS mode while plugged into the AC adapter, it is stuck on full brightness.  but as long as you aren't charging, it's fine.

Sneef: i havent experienced what you had. everything seems to work well. All settings are playable in everymode. This seems to be a very stable beta. Maybe you should reflash it again?

sneef

have you played while plugged in to the AC adapter?  i have the latest beta.  it works fine, but when plugged into the AC adapter, and in DS mode (supercard menu) it goes to highest brightness.

that aluminum foil looks like some kind of homemade pipe    haha..

Greetz!

(This is a double post, but I thought it was important.)

Just wanted to add that over the weekend I got one of the latest "waves" of white DS Lites here in Tokyo for a friend, and when flashing it with the latest version 7 lite flashme, I got the "version not recognized" message!
I've seen this before, so I flashed anyway, and all worked fine.
All functions seem to work as expected.

Hope this is useful information for someone.
:D

Cheers

I have a firmware flashing service if anyone wants to send me units to do for them, any of the current bricks are user error, there is some exposed metal near the sl1 that if bridged turns the unit off before flashing completes, in some cases before it even starts causing a brick. When ppflash diagrams are released I will be offering a repair service also. Don't count on DarkFader to release them. I spoke with him and he basically said "F**k the DS scene, I am not going to do it unless someone GIVES me a DS Lite, even then I may not do it," pretty screwed up in my opinion.

DarkFader has been forced out of the DS scene.  It's unfortunate for him, and us.

Heh...this is getting offtopic but ya, it's his own fault. He shouldn't have released the bricker, he wanted to show the scene that malicious code was possible? Pff...we knew that since the psp came out. But it had to be someone...it would have eventually happened

Many people would agree with you . . .

Who is going to make flashmp-lite now?
