Someone tried to do flashme to my new DS Lite many times with old flashme file for original DS and all of his trial failed. My DS Lite turned off every time with little increasing of processing percentage.
At first time it increased to 4% and DS lite turned off suddenly. For the next 2~3 times it turned off again and again. And finally it increased to 7% and DSL turned off again. The same with the case of '4%' again for the next 2~3 times. He didn't cease until that time although I tried stopping him all the time.
After that, I did it with flashme lite final file and succeeded at once myself.
In this case, is there any possibility that my DSL got damage or so by his previous trials and failures? Mine works well now but I'm worried about that invisible inside problems might happen to my DSL.
Please tell me the answers~


ps. At the first time of his failure, it smelled strange and I doubt it was relevant with the serious problem of inside fuse by unintended shorting of SL1 and beside metal. Why did it smell strange? I really wonder the reason.
Too much worry now T_T ...........(I should have buy DSL at much more expensive price because of lack of goods here)

If you were able to flash it afterwards and it turns on normaly then your fine.

Paranoia can make you smell, hear, and see things ... it's possible you were so freaked out, you smelled what you wanted to (happens to me).

Make sure it charges ok.  Make sure the power cycles ok - the unit doesn't randomly shut off.   You should be fine.

I agree with the above experts. If it powers on normally now you're fine.

Shane's right about the smell thing too. If you really did smell buring semi-conductors... your DSL would be DOA.
