thanks mage. Could you explain why I can't save under scribble. It saves, but once i reset it, it deletes the saved file.

No idea. It's not a feature I've played with yet. Maybe a bug that was fixed in future versions.

for some reason, nothing I save works after I restart the ds.

I tried the scribble feature and the file I created was still there after a restart. Did you upload the necessary folders?
