QuoteM3 Lite Pro, Cheaper Than M3 Perfect

We recieved this mail an hour ago from M3:

'The attachment is package & information of M3 Lite pro .
We will release the M3 mini pro / M3 SD pro next week & we will release the
M3 Lite pro around 2 weeks later .
The price of M3 pro is much lower than the M3 perfect .
It can play amlost all the NDS games like M3 Perfect , the only
difference is that it just can't play the GBA roms over 32M .

By the way we have made the new G6/M3 FAT Lib for the developers .

This isn't a new product from them other than the annoucment of the Pro "Lite" model. They have been selling the "Pro" versions for months now. They have very little RAM which only allows for very few, almost no, GBA games to work. Their price is very low, $39.95 for the miniSD version and the "Lite" model will debut at $41.95. This is just another ploy, just like the SuperCard Rumble, to quickly release a product and make some extra money before the Slot 1 solutions come out. This is very old news though and you can see all of the M3 models in my "FifthE1ement's Complete Guide to Flashcarts and Homebrew" PDF. Winsunx has been selling the miniSD/SD models for quite some time and now Divineo has just added them to their website.

Divineo Links:
M3 miniSD Pro - $39.95
M3 miniSD Pro/PassCard3 combo - $52.95
M3 SD Pro - $39.95
M3 SD Pro/PassCard3 combo - $52.95
M3 Lite Pro - $41.95
M3 Lite Pro/PassCard3 combo - $59.95

Winsunx Links:
M3 miniSD Pro - $28
M3 SD Pro - $28

This is comparable to the SuperCard Rumble series which is selling for $25-35 US around the net. I would have to say the SuperCard Rumble is a much better buy considering you also get the Rumble feature even though you lose GBA functions.

Well that's cool I think, I mean if your're not at all impressed with the rumble feature you can still pay about the same price and get a limited amount of gba support. Fair trade there.

I think the M3 Pro v. ones that have been around for a while are the Chinese versions like Winsunx has. I beleive this is the first of the English units.

the only thing is that m3 is all about gba+ds if you just want gba supercard rumble is still way better since it has better homebrew support.

M3 miniSD Professional version available

For those who like M3, this is a great buy if you do not play GBA games. Les than half the price of regular M3 adapters.

M3 Lite Pro coming in the next few days too.

huh? supercard rumble is useless for gba and homebrew. M3 is best for GBA and supercard best for Homebrew.

I think that was a typo and should have read "if you just want DS, supercard rumble is ...."

sneef

exactly.  and i agree with that 100%.  the only real benefit of m3 (IMHO) is very good gba support.  If you just want DS, SCLite rumble is good and cheaper

So for just DS functionality inc DS homebrew (don't care about GBA support) you'd recommend SCLite Rumble over M3 lite pro ?

sneef

i'm just saying it's not necessarily worth the extra money for m3lite pro, when supercard lite rumble is cheaper.  Unless you really need a skinnable UI.

I have an m3lite, but it's because I wanted gba support on my dslite.

How does the DS compatibility compare between SC-lite-rumble and M3-lite-pro ? any input ?

I can get either with practically no difference in price. The one benefit I can see in the M3-lite-pro is that it's supplied with coloured cases to match the coloured DS-lites (not just black/white)

I heard that EZFlash has the best GBA support. I have neither M3 nor EZFlash, but I plan to get them both.
 like cream soda...

Hiryu, DS compatibility is roughly equal (i know there are minor differences, but I'm not going to do a bunch of research just to answer a quick question).  I have both, but if you can really get them for the same price, grab m3lite for the shiny case!  :)

Thanks sneef, that's just kinda what I wanted to know. If price is no diff (well only £2) then there is no reason not to get M3-lite-pro.

Tho' saying that, I may get a Ninjapass x9tf too (and sell whichever I don't like)

Hi

As big as the price is, I think I'll get one for x-mas so that I can make my homebrew reset to the main menu.

On the other hand, if supercard realises a slot-1 flash cart before x-mas, I'll probably change my desisision.

You better hurry up supercard. or allow homebrew to restart. If you don't, you'll louse my bussiness!
