R4 first impressions

Simple is good.

I am still looking at EZV or R4, or maybe the M3 Simply (don't know too much about it yet). Any chance you can test download play? Can anyone test download play?

Can anyone confirm that him saying that download play works is true?

Very nice. I still like the SCDS GUI but as the video said, you can change the skin. He did say Download play was supported at about 2:08 into part 2. I think this will be my slot 1 card though, can't wait to get it

I am wondering how similar M3 Simply and R4 are, I probably would have bought R4 on the spot if I didn't know that M3 is coming out, and that it is really similar.

I haven't been able to test download play due to the absence of another DS.

Also, hitting SELECT when you are click on the Game icon will only display Directories and .nds files, so all other files are hidden.

The R4 and M3 are exactly the same, right down to the PCB.

My R4 is different to that (I had a look while making my 'How to change the R4 case' video guide). The main ship with a circle round is actually circular on mine, with no wires coming out.

They've just stuck a blob of resin on it, to stop people identifying the chip.

It's not resin (I think) it's more like a plastic cap. I can imagine that M3 probably doesn't want people to know their card is the same as the cheaper R4...

M3 replied to my email! They said it supports download play! Same with the R4 right? I think I might pick an M3 Simply up. Hey sinkhead, you wanna sell me your M3 simply or R4?
