are they? I'm finally getting a R4, since pokemon is just not working right on me good ol' SC CF, well the old trooper fought brilliantly through it's life time, but it's about time it retires heh, I'll keep it for GBA, Pr0n, and possible future apps that'll make use of it's built in ram

anyway I was thinking on getting a 2GB sandisk TF, how good is it's read speed? do any of you have it? does it give slowdowns?
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

all 2GB cards have slowdowns but thats the downfall if you want more space in one card.  I would suggest picking up 2 kingston 1GB japanese made microsds since they even run castlevania POR at full speed.

yeah well, two 1GB cards cost more then 1 2GB one.. at least down here they do, well I guess I'll go for a 1Gb one, thanks anyway

edit: nvm, just looked into it, it's actually cheaper to get 2x 1GB ones, the kingston ones are quite cheap

Basically any microsd card made in Japan, you wanna get. At least the ones I've used that were made in Japan, were extremely fast.

I had a  Sandisk, at it had it's issues with those couple problem games. The games would lock up all the time. When I formatted it to FAT and 32K, the card ran a lot faster. But those games still got the occasional lockup..

And if you're going to get those two Kingstons from a site, that doesn't specify they are Japan made, than you're taking a gamble. You might end up getting a Taiwan card. Or you may be lucky and get a Japan one. I never had that luck. The couple Kingstons I ordered, that wasn't specified where it was manufactured, always showed up as Taiwan card.

But I finally got a Japan made one from RHS. They're about ten dollars more than sites like Meritline, but at least you know you're getting a fast card. It's worth those few extra dollars.

Honestly, if you want a 2gb microsd, than get the adata. Im not even kidding they were as fast as my 2gb sandisk ultra in writing and reading speed. I never had any problems with it or slowdowns and it pretty cheap at
www.newegg.com

Or you can always go for the patriot which is also 60x.

except does newegg ship to brazil?  And also I have an A-data and have to say that it has not been very good.  I got the faster version or so the box says and it lags while wifing in some games and is pretty annoying.
