Supercard ROM dumping.

Hi

Cool! I really hate sony, due to the things they've done. (Like close Lik-sang for example) but for this I do have to give them credit.

But, then, if nintendo, or sony, were to support HB they would be taking a risk. Look what happned to the GBAMP! Now, suppose the GBAMP was a device that was licened by nintendo. Uh oh!

ACtually, I take that back, it would still put nintendo in a better position than sony with it's PSP and built in memory. But them, sony is activly fighting piracy. (another reason I hate sony, though I can't really blame them for that.)

Point being, any tool nintendo made, be it a homebrew-running device or a save-file-dumper/back-upper, it could have some, bad/interesting conequences.

The only official thing in that vein Nintendo has made is the PLAY-YAN/Nintendo Mp3 Player.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

I agree but I think M3 already has a ROM dumper and most slot-1 solutions being made these days wouldn't be able to dump to card because there isn't enough RAM to store the ROM whilst you're switching between backup tool and ds cart. What we really need is a tool which sends ROMs AND save files from both GBA and DS carts across wifi to a cross-platform program on a computer :)

You know, nintendo knows how to do it to, and they're not telling ether. Yet nobody is saying damn Nintendo.

Respect Chishm's wishes. We should respect people's wishes regardless of what they are, (within reason, of course) and yet Chishm's wishes are actually quite reasonable. Chishm doesn't want to support theives who like to steal video games. Yes, that's what we are when you get right down to it, thieves, I won't deny it.

I DO think I'm a smart theif who respects the company he's stealing from and is sure to support them, but a thief all the same. It's reasonable that he doesn't want to support theves.

p.s. Nintendo knows how to do it, but they're not telling. Damn Nintendo! (see my point)

There're 3 reasons I don't consider myself a thief.

1. Piracy doesn't deplete Nintendo's stock.

2. I never download a ROM if I can afford the game.

3. It's not a case of downloading to contravene buying the game, I either download it or don't have it - buying's not an option.

All things considered, I don't harm Nintendo when I play a ROM.

Hi

That makes you a good thief, but not a non-thief in my opinon.

"I DO think I'm a smart theif who respects the company he's stealing from and is sure to support them, but a thief all the same."
That's how I feel about myself. And it's essenchally the same for you. But your getting something without paying for it, right?

Look, my point is that you can't blame Chishm for not relising the dumper.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for someone with a spare $500 to buy the dumper from Chishm
