because fat32 file structure cannot cope with file sizes over 1gb .....

FAT32 can cope with files up to 4Gb or rather 1 byte less than 4Gb ((2^32)-1 bytes).

MEH typo now fixed thanks for that ... wouldnt think I was an admin on a tech forum would you!? least I still remembered how to convert FAT32 to NTFS

I know why I put 1gb ....  that used to telling people ..when ripping FULL dvds with FAT32 you need to split to 1gb partitions to work with other wise fat32 chokes
