I realy dont see why the program do not make  AR to SCC directly .. =/

i wondered that also.. the only thing i could think of is.. so you can merge 2 .cht files converted from ar and dipstar respectively for one game    .. i hope that makes sense as I admit i have had a few tonight, hopefully the theory of my reasoning can be seen

yeah thats what I was thinking it would take the hassle out of messing about they could at least add it to the patcher to accept the initial .txt file and cut out the messing about with extra programs  

... As you can see I got in a mix up of why change a txt to a cht then a cht to a scc when the scc tool  (cht2supercardcheat.exe) accepts .txt files anyway !?


All this aggro just so my kids to cheat a game who have supercards im just glad when I finally got a ds of my own I chose the R4 thanks to recommendations here (thanks to all who recommended) Its much easier to click the ready made cheats on the R4 and then just start the game

I mean its long winded enough to patch supercard roms for a slot 2 device in the first place ............... without having to mess around pasting text files converting to cht then from cht to scc then adding to the patcher then patching and then setting the cheat loading the game and checking to see if its worked or not  :evil: its a pain in the backside!

Many thanks for posting the Club House Games cheat - tried it and it works. Guess the Metroid Prime Hunters cheat I was trying was b*ll*cks.

ok just found out that theres  ready made cheats  look at the 2 ndscheat folders in the supercard installation folder for the 2.60 patcher one with chs cheats in (assuming these are chinese) as the second folder is called eng the chs one has 457 cheat files in and the eng folder has 228 cheat files in  

but as if they havent made it hard enough to figure out with self made cheats ....... the games are not named with easy to understand plain game names they are the game ID's as used on the action replay/codejunkies website doh!!  :evil:

anyone got a full list of all NDS roms with their game name alongside the game ID to make things easier to find the right cheat for the right game !?

after messing about with the first 4 letters of the cheat ID  I have found If you look on code junkies and find a cheat for a ds game you want to cheat ... you maby in luck with the cheat already made in the above folder   just take the first 4 letters of the game ID from code junkies  eg

Yoshi's Island DS
Game ID: AYWE-c46d7e2c

first 4 letters are AYWE a quick search in windows explorer of the cheat folders in the patcher installation folder as above for AYWE

finds 2 cheats one in the chs folder and one in the eng folder in my case i would need the eng file for english  

a quick check of the cheat file opening it in notepad you can make out some of the words in the scc file it says something like HAVE 20 RED COINS and 5 FLOWERS ...cross reference with code junkies now tells me I have the correct cheat file for Yoshi's Island DS WHOOT  

one ready made cheat yay!

now just 227 files to figure out lol

make that 226 ...

eng scc cheat file AYXE_000061e3 = Yu-Gi-Oh! Spirit Caller lol wasted time above messin around it was there all the time ready done

they auto load if available when you tick 'enable cheats'    ... tip press the load button "..." then 'cancel' to see what the game-id is

yeh.. but you be glad of your hard work when you see the crappy cheats for Mario Kart SC have given us...  you can make a much better one now   ... even append it to the sc pre-made one

bleh all this sluthing has gave me headache ..only now to discover when you choose add cheat in the options it automatically chooses the correct pre made scc cheat file for you DOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

OH WELL  we have learnt something along the way at least we can name them something useful whichever way we do it

lol one problem tho renaming the cheat files ... it kills the auto loading process doh!

ah well at least I can goto sleep now knowing im an IDIOT and wasted several hours on this but hey its a learning curve .... my day job !? I TEACH I.T. and spare time im an  ADMIN on a TECH/DVD FORUM lol wouldnt of guessed it would you with all this messin about etc hahaha :p

maby I should just stick to what I know eh!? lol


edit re:-  appending the crappy one for mario kart ..... you can be the test pilot for scc to cht then to text file and edit it then reverse the process back again lol ...I really cba with it now Wasted enuff time on it already

every time i try and use cheats [l+r+start+up] my screen just bodges itself up [usingthe default one when add cheat is enabled] and goes funny colours and stuff.... so uhh what am i doing wrong?

having installed 2.60 for my Sons' and looked in the program directory(C:program files:SC)for the abovementioned folder, all i can find is a "cheat" folder which contains 0001 cht. then 0002cht etc....none of them are "AR names" in that AR lingo...where are you looking for these chs and eng folders??
At least you are able to query which cheat code is which with the aid of Codejunkies...my numbers (0001cht. etc) mean nothing to me...!!

what supercard do you have !?

The cheat menu appears when you first start the rom that has a cheat file patched to it  see image

set the cheats you want to on using the A button to turn them on and then press B to start the game

if there are any additional options specified when making the cheat such as the SHY GUY cheat for MARIO KART where you need to press a key to get it to work in this case the SELECT must be held when choosing a course and then your character becomes shy guy  

cheats once set at the inital menu before loading the game should be on all the time to toggle them off mid game use to turn ON:L+R+LEFT+START,  and OFF:L+R+Right+START

to turn the in game cheat menu on and off during the game press  L+R+UP+START

cant tell you if this works as the in game menu isnt an option with rumble which I have ...... so I guess it uses the ram that the rumble does not have

So Kkan, you are an industrial tech teacher?  You may have some PMs coming in next year lol.  Anyways, I found if you find an AR subscription, that you should not view the xml in your browser, but download it and open in notepad.  It is much more organized, and you can find the codes easier.

And i tried doing a certain hack on MKDS wifi, but the game is really messed up if you have it on before wifi, or if you try putting it on at wifi...well, you can't.
