If you cant find the cheat convertor files in your download I have added them to the bottom of this post

from messing this is what ive figured so far

my example was 0800 yu-gi-oh spirit caller

I got the cheat from the code junkies code site

eg


Highlighted with the cursor (hold left mouse and drag over selected area )

copy and pasted it  from the page to a note pad file as follows

reading the brief instructions with the cheat convertor

I had to add a @ next to each item as follows

ok edit here to correct the process (thanks for the additional meenie)





now convert the .txt to .cht file with ar2cht.exe tool


when you have the .cht file then used the cht2supercardcheat tool to convert it to a SCC file  by choosing CHEAT and not book this will output the text file as a SCC file with the same name as your original text file  

then open the 2.60 patcher and load your rom as normal to patch and add the cheat when you right click on your rom in the patcher you can choose  ...  next to where it says cheat and add your SCC file  

when you have patched you will have your normal save game your rom file and your cheat SCC file  put them in a folder to keep them together and give it the rom name  ..

copy this folder and its contents of 3 files to your flash card and turn on when you launch the game it should come up with the cheat menu which you can turn stuff on and off with the  A  button and then start the game with B button

according to the brief instructions to turn the cheats on and off during the game you can press Hotkey combo of  L+R+LEFT+START to turn cheats ON  and , L+R+Right+START to turn them OFF

to toggle cheat menu on and off  (not available in the rumble series) press L+R+UP+START

and for the in game cheat book press L+R+DOWN+START  

but .... this was my first attempt altho it showed the cheats on startup they didnt appear to work during the game  


anyone else getting cheats to work please post here your results and maby add your cheat files if admin are ok with this

i think the problem was you have to make it a .cht file first then convert to a .scc file

is this what you did !?

make a cht file first ?   noooooooooooooooo ... try reading the readme... you are missing converters.. don't start sticking @ signs everytwhere, it will do you no good

so what does this mean in the readme

right thats where the confusion lies then

so..

1) I get my cheat paste it to a txt file as it is no modifications and save it

2) convert the .txt  to .cht file with ar2cht.exe tool

3) then convert the .cht file to .scc with the cht2supercardcheat.exe tool


then add to the game file when patching !?

is this the correct way of doing it!?

or do I have some steps wrong ?

nah.. you were correct in putting the  '@' on the cheat name sub entry.. i was tripping out  (apologies), you done that bit correctly

procedure is.... save as txt.. use ar2cht.exe on it.. which produces .cht file ... then use the cht->to->scc converter exe to produce the scc file... patch game with that cheat file


i just tested again using '10,000 chips cheat' on club house games (eur)
... it worked fine.....txt file below with '@' already included.....

right I guess the issue is that the cheat i tried REALLY DOES NOT WORK then doh!!!

anyhoo  tried it both ways now so maby need to test more cheats out was going to try mario kart but its got 400+ codes   :shock:  so decided not to attempt adding @ symbols to that lot lol
