What files can this program take to convert?

most of the usual formats avi,xvid,divx mpeg and mpeg 2 and vobs (dvd format files) so long as you have all the correct codecs to decode/encode the original files :)

my tip is to use G-SPOT codec  Analysis tool and ONLY install the codecs required .. not one of these so called MULTI CODECS PACKS as they often cause more headaches than its really worth  :)

Essentially any file. It just depends on whether you have a codec for the file you want to convert your computer.

Batchdpg can convert any movie file that can be played using windows media player.

So, what do you do if you want to convert a video file that you cannot play in windows media player? You need to get a codec, that's all. Try google-ing (How you spell google-ing?) K-lite codec pack, and then download the K-lite codec pack. If you select "Lots of stuff" during installation, you should be able to convert just about any video file to dpg format using batchdpg.

So essencally, to answer your question, batchdpg will take almost any type of video file to convert.

meh! what do I know ... only been converting video files for 6+ years to dvd/mobile/ipod/ds etc  :-\ :-\

as a rule of thumb, any video you can play in windows media player (and often more)
