Rom position patch

I'm having some problems with animal crossing wild world (very very slow) and nervous brickdown (doesn't run). Elsewhere on these forums I saw it was suggested to move the rom position patch setting to the sd card. However, when I click on properties in the supercard software all options for rom position patch are greyed out except DS Card.

Is this just due to this version of the supercard, or what? Any other suggestions to make those 2 games work (other than buying a faster microSD card, which I have already ordered)?

Thanks

jmr

since your in the SCDSONE section im guessing youve got one ot these......
the option of loading roms from ram is for slot2 supercards (not rumble) it loads the game into the gba ram & plays it from there
you could try formating your card to FAT with 64k clusters as it gives a small speed boost

if your using windows
Go to: Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc

Select your SD card and right-click "Format"

    * Volume Label: Whatever you like
    * File System: FAT
    * Allocation unit size: 64k

sounds like it might be a supercard rumble... and if so... try messing with the patch options... but basically, no, not without a faster micro-sd

reading dalee18 other post hes defiantly got a scdsone

another thing you can do is when you auto speed check your card if it gets a low score just keep raising it until you find a sweet spot were all games work

my first card i got for my scdsone only got 2 on the speed check but raising it to 17 improved all games

or just wait for your new card (i hope you got a kingston or toshiba Jap card) cause they work best with scdsone

Thanks guys...yep, I have a SC DSone, sorry I forgot to mention that. The autodetection for the speed setting gave me a 5. I will try some faster settings until the new microSD card comes.

Thanks again

Thanks, I set the speed to 17 (tried it randomly as the poster above said it worked for him) and got animal crossing to play with minimal slowdown. Nervous brickdown still does not work - we'll see on the other card when it comes.

Thanks again!
