So what's the purpose of this unit and what all functions can it be used for?

Also do you need a modchip installed or an Action Replay for it to have any use at all?

J/W cause I picked one up just to have (which i do alot unfortunately) and it didn't come with any cd or instructions or anything and I dunno what to do with it .

You should note that some Action Replay disks do not work with the Wii

Do you know which ones do and don't? Cause the wii is where this set-up will be used only for me.

Thanks for the guide, i'm going to assume from here on out that the wii needs to be either modded or used with action replay for the wiikey sd adapter to be used.

You should be able to fine the thread here about which version of AR works (I remember it being discussed some time back). Otherwise, you'll find it on Google.
