I Have a Cyclopds Evolution and I was trying to download Moonshell for multimedia and I am really getting nowhere. There is not even a setup to run the programs all I can do is copy them and move them they wont run. How do I fix this or do I need another update?

I finallu figured some stuff out with your guide of course. I copied everything to my removeable drive and I worked from there. I hit setup and followed the instructions. I setup everything, but each time I go to my DS it says that Moonshell has not been installed. I have setup it up 6 times now and all I see are some of the folders I created but no video, no music?

Are you use R4 and try to run it pass the 3icon menu?
If so, you have to rename moonshell.nds to "_DS_MSHL.nds"

Also, did you put the main folder in the root dir?

I have a cyclods evolution. I put them in the cyclo file on my cart. My cart only has one folder.

I finally got it!. A few questions how do I get it to run from the headphone icon on the startup screen and I can only get it to play MP3's?

I have an M3 Simply and I'm getting the error of "Couldn't find _DS_MENU.DAT"

I'm pretty sure that the older versions of Moonshell came with these files, but now when I tried installing v1.7, the files aren't there and it doesn't work.

Anyone know how to fix?

So far, here are my findings.
From this thread ~ N-CARD new slot-1 card US$50 for 1GByte

Disadvantages
Virtually no homebrew support. Manufacturer is working on it.
No built in NoPass. Can be fixed using 3rd party software.
Need to set save type for new games not in the manufacturer's list of games.
Cannot run GBA games. (Like all slot 1 cards)
Single cart download play does not work for some games. (Like almost every other card)

You could try out some premades. I do not know though. Where did you buy it from?

are you using the correct version of moonshell (MoonShell for SuperCard SD/miniSD not the SCDS1 version)? Did you copy everything to the root of your sd card?

Is your SD card formatted FAT (FAT16) not FAT32? Lets see there are two versions, did you try them both?

You have put the moonshl folder in the root dir and the .nds file as well?

OK, here is a possible solution. Back up your card contents to your pc. Then reformat your SD card again (FAT). I have had to do this for another reason but does occasionally help.
