has it to do with my Flashme version?, it is not the last version

onekelly

I am not sure if flashme version matters. Where are you seeing the md5 file?

Devil_Spawn

flashme definitely doesnt matter. try not to quadruple post :p

Indeed, please edit your post next time rather than posting 4 times in a row.

As for your error, I'm not entirely sure what's causing it.  There are two other DLDI files you can try:  the hacked SCSD_moon.dldi file from http://vespenegas.com/dldi.html and Barni's DLDI file from http://blog.dev-scene.com/barni/2007/08/28/7/

i'm using batchDPG 1.3...when i convert FFVII AC from MPG to DPG,It hangs. Also when i convert an episode of the Simpsons. The Ds pops up a message saying that horizontal width above 256 pixels became unsupported. This while using the recommended settings for fullscreen vids.
Also Mencoder.exe always fails to respond. Is something wrong?I do not get that message when converting music videos of Mpg format and i can watch them perfectly.

Loads of help needed.

Hello,
I'm a complete newb who is just looking to play media on her Ds Lite. Can you please tell me which package of Moonshell to download to use with the Max Media Launcher?  The launcher is listed as a 'passme', but I'm unsure what is meant by 'flashcart.'  Is that the flash memory card?  I have a '2GB Micro SD transflash memory card with 2 adapters'--will that work?
Many thanks for your help,
Mitulove

Mitulove, first off, welcome to scdev!

I think the max media launcher is like you said, 'a passme' which would allow you to boot a flashcart from the gba slot (slot 2).

You will definately need a slot 1 (which would make your passme not needed as it does the same thing if you want it to) or a slot 2 and then you could use your passme device. (i would go with slot 1 as it is the newer technology and a little more user friendly).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_storage_devices

http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Supercard  this one is about the supercard products.

You have to decide what your needs are though, if you are going to play games and watch, listen to media, there are many products that will work for you (SC DS1 or the R4 or M3 simply, all are slot 1 devices and take a microSD card.

There are some pictures on the above links to give you an idea of what you might need and what a flashcart looks like. Also the sponser at the top of the page Real Hot Stuff offers a discount to members here and is VERY reliable and trustworthy (not a shameless plug, just the truth as i have bought from them quite a few times now, great service!)

Also here is this tutorial from moddz.com and 5th elements guide to flashcarts, etc.. it is from 2006 but it will give some basics. See attachment below.

Please take no offense to this next statement, and none is meant, but, if you have questions other then moonshell, please start a new thread asking questions the appropriate section (your question above is totally in the right section though  :) ).

Thank you for your reply :)

I'm confused.  This is what I ordered: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000N8UYSW  The launcher goes in slot 1.  So do you mean that in addition to that bit I need the flashcart in slot 2?

edit: re: confusion...ok, I had assumed that the media launcher holds the micro sd card (their faq page is down and the specs page hasn't been created yet :P) and one could therefore install moonshell on it along with the media files..

So, assuming I sort that out, which package of Moonshell would I need?  Do you choose according to the flashcart or the passme?

Thanks again

onekelly

Choose your flashcart and make sure it can play homebrew, specifically moonshell, i would skip the passme and stick with a slot 1 solution. basically toss out what you have bought, as the slot 1 product you will buy will also have the passme capability built into it.

Mitulove

I just ordered the SuperCard DS One Slot-1 Solution..apparently it even comes pre-loaded with Moonshell! :D
