As some of you may remember my bro's 360 was shipped and was replaced with "new" one however it has the Hitachi one...

My question is:
Is Microsoft using the older Hitachi drives again, or is my 360 old as hell?

Probably a refurb. If you send it in for replacement they don't give you a brand new system, they give you a refurbished one.

I seem to remember a half sheet of paper saying they replaced it with a new one...  Oh well,  do you by chance have any experiance with live?  Whenever I try to join friends on halo 3 it says the session has timed out or something about "NAT" networking.

If you are having NAT error, make sure your ports XBL uses are open. Read here for more info:

Still not working but a friend recommended that I check if my router has a "Plug and Play" option.
