Hate to say it, but I'm saying goodbye to the Wii.  It's collected too much dust.  Yeah I play it here and there but I can't justify keeping it at this point.  I'll probably buy it again someday (probably sooner than I think because I do like it)...

Anyway, got a 60GB PS3, NHL08 and Assassin's Creed and an extra SIXAXIS for like $400 or so.  My brother-in-law works at Game Stop and they got some huge employee discount, and I traded a bunch of junk in ($50 credit or something), etc etc... got some big time savings and couldn't pass it up.  I'm already happy with it.  I've wanted true next gen NHL for a while and knew it would never happen on my wii. 

It was a tough decision between the PS3 and the XBOX360... I know I know, I'm stupid, etc etc... But I still think the PS3 is going to take off eventually.  I've also loved the controllers ever since PS1.

PS3 IS a great system. I had one and foolishly got rid of it during the games drought, and now there are some choice titles I'd love to play At least my brother has one I can use whenever I come by. Not only a great game system, but it does some other fine things too. Undoubtedly an excellent media player, and when I had it I installed Linux (Yellowdog) which was pretty awesome. It was very easy to do, my standard USB mouse and keyboard worked on it, and it was essentially a computer. Man, I miss the PS3...

BTW: Keep me in mind when you want to get rid of that Wii. I have >0< home console (all handhelds) right now and would love to at least have something I can hook up to the tv

I have a few interested people lined up.  Offering it to them first.  Then will offer it in the marketplace if it doesnt go..

This all is hinging on whether or not I decide to keep it for some reason.

You should definitely check out the new downloadable mini game PAIN on playstation store. Me and the kids played it all weekend. It's funny as hell to play.  It does have some sexual innuendo though.  Nothing too bad.  If you want I have lots of other downloadable PS3 games I can share with you.  Also, why not keep your Wii and go the WiiPS3 route?  Too many consoles to feed?  Anyway, congratulations on the new game gear.

Agree with bitblt, keep em both and mod the Wii, you will enjoy it more.

Hehehe... you're not making it easy for me to sell.   

My brother hangs out a lot and has one.... Maybe I'll just help him mod his.  Who knows.

But anyway, yeah, I got PAIN.  It's pretty damned fun.  I have to play some more, I did the crash course and played mime toss or whatever for a little bit, but that's all.  Then let the woman do the crash course.  I'm a hockey nut so I've been non-stop playing NHL08 to get better so I can whoop some ass online.
