[SuperCard Lite]

How do you do it?  After I killed my old PSP by silling soup on it, I stopped checking the PSP scene.  Now that I got a new one (and new DS ), I want to know how to put CFW on it.  Can anyone tell me or point me to a link, please?

I think I remember reading something about new PSPs having an updated motherboard that prevents downgrading the PSP but there's probably some way to get around it. With PSP Slims, ones without the updated motherboard, if there ever was such a thing (can't trust my memory ) I know you needed to make a Pandora Battery, I also think you would have needed a program called Despertar del Cementerio made by Dark_Alex which you can get at http://www.dark-alex.org/ (specifically http://exophase.com/files/psp/dc5.rar).
I'd start looking at PSP-Hacks in the tutorials section (http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/forum-18.html) first, look at all threads to do with Pandora Battery's and Despertar del Cementerio.
I've never used the Pandora Battery or Despertar del Cementerio so I can't help you with those but I can recommend one thing; don't try it unless you know all the facts about what it is you're doing/using and make sure you understand every process of installing CFW or else you might regret trying.

what kind of psp have you got?  a slim or a phat?

To install the CFW you are going to need 2 things

1) Pandora Battery
2) Magic Memory Stick (MMS)

With those 2 you can install the CFW easily! and also use it to unbrick PSPs.

you can buy the pandora online easy, just google it or try ebay. (I am currently selling some pandoras)

the MMS you can actually make it yourself if you have a 128 - 2gb  memory stick

to check if yours is compatible go to your psp menu
then  Game -> Memory Stick
Hit Triangle and select "information"
if it says "Magicgateâ,,¢ Supported"    then you can make it

if not then you will have to buy that as well,

follow the instructions there if you want to make your own MMS with the TotalNewbi Easy Installer

There are ways of hardmodding/softmodding a slim battery to a pandora but if you are new to it I wouldnt risk it. Plus I think some of the newer ones wont work, so your best bet would be to buy one


If you manage to obtain both those things its very easy from then on.

You put in the MMS, then put in the Pandora battery,
PSP will turn on,
Hit  X  and it will start to install the CFW
Hit  X  again to power off
Take out MMS and Pandora,
Re-insert normal battery or power cable and memory stick and turn on and it should have installed everything fine
