what does it mean when copper says "you can't enter because a conversation is in progress"?  does that mean the town is full?

What that means is there is someone already trying to connect to his server at the point. Only 1 person can try and connect at a time. Once someone else connects you can attempt to try and connect (usually wait 20-30 seconds)

Ahh you posted right as I was editing my last post. -pat pat- Yeah that sucks.

Dudu is going to test if you can stay in sleep mode for an extended time and keep the game running. If that works, I'll keep up my server for long periods of time when I'm away so people can steal my peaches while I'm gone ^_^

Great advice on running game from SC instead of media that fixed the wierd slowdowns in the game but I still can not connect to Wifi. All I get are two black screens.

I have the very latest SC Patcher & Firmware
My DS is also flashed with the latest flashme 5
& Mario Kart and Tony Hawk run fine and connect to WiFi without fault

I've also tried booting with the passme and got the same result just two black screens when trying to configure WiFi.


update

It seems that when you attempt to connect to Nintendo WiFi through the front intro screen, it goes blank but if you simply go to the town gate within the game [after you've created a charachter and gotten a job] it connects and configures for you then.

Also there is a stop watch that lets people hold competitions which should be handy for the stuffbox comp. I left a message on your bulletin board cos i want in on the comp
